Homework for the weekend

I know, I know….no one wants to do homework on the weekend. Don’t worry, it’ll be short.

Math 9 – If you are in the morning class, complete #5 from p. 286.  If you are in the afternoon class, complete #5 AND #7 from p. 286. You can find the questions at my Wikispace.

Math 10 – Find the slope, length (distance) and midpoint for the line segment  between (4, 2) and (9. -3).

Spring has sprung! A post-March-Break post

Math 9 – Complete the following questions in your notebook:

1. 2x = 8
2. x+2 = 6
3. x/5 = 2
4. x-6 = -3

Math 10 – Finish the front of the page you were given today, concerning chord properties.  A PDF version of some notes, including the chord properties themselves, is located on the Math 10 page of the Wikispace.

Math 9 – Complete the worksheet that was given in class today.  If you’ve lost your worksheet, you can find a copy here.

Math 10 - Complete the rationals worksheet that was given in class today.  A random selection of five questions will be used for homework marks.

It’s the first day of a new semester!

Welcome back everyone! Seems like we had to wait a long time to get back into the swing of things but we’re here now.

Math 9 – Create a figure using the algebra tiles (obviously, this will only be a picture, but use only the algebra tile shapes).  There must be a minimum of 10 tiles, and at least three of those must be negatives.  Then write an algebra sentence to show what your picture represents.

Math 10 – no homework tonight

Grade 10 – If you’re looking for answers to the review sheets, I don’t think they’re going to be posted.  What you should do is contact me by e-mail with specific questions. I’ll check my mail every hour, on the hour (until 9:00 or so), for your problems.

Saturday Extra Help

Good morning, boys and girls, girls, girls!  If you are in Grade 10 and coming to extra help at the school, know that I will be there from 11:00 until 2:30.  When you come in, please sign-in; there will be a sheet on the table just outside the office for us.  This is just so I can keep track of who was in the building.
